Peabody, Mass., July 15, 2005 – JEOL USA, Inc. has developed a unique solution for rapid, automated NMR spectrometer sample exchange. The new ASC24 24-position sample changer allows programmable, random order selection of sample tubes, improving NMR workflow for remote or unattended operation. An Ethernet interface enables plug and play installation, and controls are automatically updated whenever upgrades to the operating software, DELTA™, are installed.
The lightweight aluminum carousel is interchangeable, making it possible to prepare additional carousels with sample holders for continual batches of experiments. An extremely reliable, fail-safe design, the ASC24 software detects and prevents common loading errors.
In addition to the ASC24, JEOL also offers 8-, 16-, and 64-position sample holders. All include random access operation and variable temperature spinners. Only the ASC24 features an Ethernet link.
JEOL, which introduced its first NMR system in 1956, today manufactures a family of NMR spectrometers available from 300 to 920MHz with a variety of magnet bore sizes and probes. The ECA and ECX series of NMR spectrometers can be expanded to facilitate high-performance liquid, multiple channel protein and solid-state experiments in a single instrument platform. At its USA headquarters in Peabody, Massachusetts, the company offers NMR spectrometer demonstrations and training classes for a wide variety of users, including universities, colleges, and industrial accounts.
